I was so excited to finally try out the cropped sweater look!! The cropped sweaters are just about everywhere this year. Keeping this one short and sweet (pun intended)...but basically, I think I need to keep trying this one out. It certainly wasn't the most successful of all the trends I've tried...but hey, it was the first time.  I have a long torso so the key to this look working for me is find a shirt long enough to put under the sweater. I will say I loved the little booties they were super comfortable and the necklace is a personal favorite. I like the unexpected color combo, it definitely inspired this outfit!

Hope you enjoy and try a new trend next week!!

Rustic-ish

Rustic-ish

OK...so to say this is "rustic" might be a stretch but for me, I don't think that's too far off the mark when I am describing this outfit.I love the black and white flannel. I mean, who thought I would be talking about flannel again, but it's sorta back. Not is it just back, but I'm actually loving it! First, it's been super cold so what is better then snuggling up in warm flannel? Aside from being under my warm electric blanket (yes, I have one...that I think Fred might be slowly stealing away from me) I think this fabric might be the next best thing to cozy up in. This color palette is one I'm kind of obsessed with. I think if you took a quick glance at my pinterest, it wouldn't be hard to tell.

Side note...I purchased my black and white flannel top at old navy and found my jeans at gap outlet. I posted some similar finds above, but just wanted to disclose my shopping sites for reference :) So...working close to the Legends...you can probably bet that's where I'm finding outfit pieces these days!

Hope you enjoy and decide to embrace your inner flannel!

Bright and Bundled Up

Bright and Bundled Up

To say that it's cold outside would be the understatement of the year. So it's time to bundle up and snuggle up. Regardless of how cold it is, I still have to brave my way to work and the only way to survive it this time of year is by wearing layers and I can't go without my puffer vests. This one that I have is extra snugly because it has warm lining on the inside and you can't go without the fur lined hood. Let's not forget the MUCH needed scarf to top it all off. Even though it's winter, I tried to keep it bright with the teal...and who doesn't love a fringe bootie?

Hope you enjoy and this inspires you to stay bright even though the winter is dark and cold. Just think of sand and beaches!

Stay warm friends!

I have had some time off lately with the holidays, but it was back to the office on Monday. To say that I was dragging myself in would be an understatement. I pretty much could only think of how badly I wanted to take a nap, needless to say the emails were rolling in but I'm not sure my motivation was keeping up. Sigh. This is not what I wore to the office on Monday...camera battery died and I have not charged it...so I looked through some old pics I had stocked up (there are lots) and picked this one out especially for today. I like this because this is super simple and probably something most people have in their closet already. I'm not sure this is super fashion forward...and might be something you have seen a zillion times but I really enjoy this as a go-to outfit when I just don't want to think about what to wear in the morning. It's super easy to throw own, and let's be real, a splash of leopard never hurt anyone! :)

I got this dress at old navy, last year I think, but they continue to sell it and they always have good sales so this is still super easy to pick up. Of course, I just looked at their website and I can't find it, but I promise this dress is one of  their staples!

I love a jean jacket...it's not to fancy and even though the kind of sound totally 80's they are actually back in.

I layered my necklaces, I sometimes like to do a chunkier necklace with a longer and more simple longer necklace, just mix it up a little. Try it and see what you think, it doesn't ALWAYS work for me, but in this case I like it.

Hope you like this and that my outfit inspires you a little bit! :)

P.S. My hair looks terrible in this picture, I forgot to pull it back that day! Ugh!

OK...so it's no secret that I am in love with all kinds of sunglasses. I have a a whole part of my dresser dedicated to my sunglasses. These are amazing. Love them so much. Now, these aren't cheap, but ladies...these look great on me...if i do say so myself :) Anyone looking for a last minute Christmas gift for their awesome friend/daughter/sister??? ;)

It's summer time and lime is in the air! I've been making shrimp tacos...with lime...cilantro rice...with lime...mojitos...with lime. So, why not add a little lime to my wardrobe too! Absolutely love this outfit and can't say how much I adore the shoes. The high heel with the skinny cuffed jeans is one of my favorite looks! I bought the shirt a long time ago, but found something similar for my post above. you could even do a bright orange shirt with this look too, to add a little different pop of color. The options are endless but the shoes are the key! I picked up this sweet pair at Off Broadway and they are honestly pretty comfortable :) I have never worn the wrap bracelet before, but was VERY excited to debut it today! Both the necklace and the bracelet are from Premier Designs ...the necklace is retired (but the name is Barcelona, so you might google it) but if you like the bracelet click here to get your very own!

Just love this summer casual look. Hope this inspires the fashionista in you!

So, you can be the judge...but as far as I'm concerned this color combination is on my "TO ROCK" list :) It's so bright for summer and the turquoise is a great POP against the red shirt. This is really a simple outfit. A V-Neck T that I picked up at Target and then a nude skirt is very light and perfect in all this humidity (oh, Kansas summers...how I love you) then just your basic nude wedge. The necklace is really what makes it interesting. I know that I'm too matchy matchy with the bracelets, but I just can't help it. Hi, my name is Erin and I'm a Matchaholic. There. I said it. :)

I have been out of town recently and super busy at work so my blogging has definitely taken a backseat to my crazy (by much loved) life. I'm trying to get back on track. I have been taking pictures...so many outfits and so little time. What's a girl to do!

I promise more posts this week. I hope this inspires the fashionista in you!!!
