Fancy Shoes and Coffee
It's Tuesday and I have on my Fancy Shoes and had coffee in hand this morning. What more do I need to be armed for a perfectly productive day? I saw this scarf hanging among the obscene amount of scarves that I own, and knew that this was on the plan for the week. I bought, yet another, black jacket...this time from H&M. Before you judge...I had a 10 dollar coupon that was expiring, what was a girl to do? So when I saw the scarf I decided then and there that the new jacket was going to be making it's debut appearance. Plus, I had fancy shoes to match the scarf that I RARELY wear. I mean, as you can see, these shoes aren't something you just throw on with every outfit...but I was inspired to wear them. First, matching. I have addressed my OCD tendencies with matching before. I know, not everything has to match and I do want to come up with those unexpected color combinations, but sometimes, I just like to match. In this case the shoes were a perfect match for the scarf. One other thing to point out, the small cuff in the jeans. I have been doing this lately, I'm not sure, but I just prefer it? Maybe I think the cuff makes it a little more casual? I'm not sure, but I do seem to be partial to the cuff lately. I encourage discussion on the topic!

Pinterest Inspiration
I want to share a tip : Definitely recommend perusing Pinterest for outfit inspiration. To be fair to all my 5 readers, I feel like I should issue a warning on this recommendation:
WARNING!!! Using this tip could lead to financial hardship due to shopping for pieces of clothing to MAKE an outfit that you "have to have" because you saw it on Pinterest.
Consider yourself warned :)
I actually already owned the pieces for my outfit today, but I have been a victim of the above "problem" :) I mean...it depends on who you ask as to whether or not this is considered a problem. So, for me, it's a just a "problem" ;)
So decided to take a close up picture of all the pieces because until I get a new camera and therefore better pictures...it's just tough to see all the detail. I'm getting LOTS of compliments on the sweater today and the blue/orange combination just made me happy. Plus, let's be real, I really wanted to wear these those shoes...and they matched. Sometimes you build the outfit around shoes (that topic might be for another blog)! The shoes are Jessica Simpson...so while I love them, my feet have a different relationship with them :(
Here's a close up of my bracelets. My mom bought me the orange bracelet and while I wasn't sure how much I would wear it, it goes with more than you think!
And now, just because I know you all want to see my smiling face...here's me! I have been taking these at work because I think they turn out better :)
Hope you are all having a good day!! :) If not, I suggest you go browse pinterest ;)

Fashion Risk...Do or Don't? Discuss
So...I have tried this booties with skinny jeans thing before. It has always resulted in my immediately taking off the booties and saying to myself "What were you thinking? That looked terrible!" :) SO...not sure what came over me on this random Wednesday morning that made me want to , ONCE AGAIN, give this another shot. I didn't even have a plan B. Maybe the fashion gods aligned for me this morning and I was finally going to make this look work!...and for once...I didn't immediately take the shoes off and think "Why did you EVEN buy those??" :) This may not be drastic to you all, but I am excited to say that I THINK I finally made this work? Those gray jeans...Gap...Clearance...10 bucks! I was so proud of myself! I have been SEARCHING high and low for cute gray jeans...and then there they were! Maybe the fashion gods were at the Gap with me too and they KNEW that this outfit was coming! Anyway...Do or Don't, discuss?? :)
Also as a side note...I think I'm going to be working on getting better camera...my birthday and Christmas are just around the corner. I think it's time.

Look Dad! New Shoes!
So, I was feeling inspired today (maybe by the new shoes) and have decided I really do need to try and make more time for this blog. I know everyone is busy, but to say that I have been "busy" at work would probably be the biggest understatement of the year. I am still trying to dress cute, so it's not as if the opportunity to take a pic hasn't presented itself...but I am always running out the door. And, finding time to blog at work...clearly that's just not an option. However, I think I owe it to my friends that are still following me...to at LEAST try and update once a week. I think it will normally be on Friday, but again, because I'm kickin off the week with a brand new pair of shoes...it seemed appropriate to get this party started :)
So...a little background on the title. I was talking to my Dad this weekend and mentioned that I had gone over to Nikki's house for a jewelry party. (I know, but this is the conversations you get when you are a Dad of two girls). I was telling him how much her daughter, Paige, loves purses and jewelry. He mentioned, kind of like how much you love jewelry and shoes? True Statement. Well, that was the perfect segway into the fact that I was in the market for a new pair of shoes. His response...did you check in the spare room closet? To which I responded, yep...checked there...couldn't find them. :) ...you can imagine that a large eyeroll followed. I love my Dad.
I didn't have navy flats. They are hard to find. I almost bought a pair at target a few years back, I didn't, and have been kicking myself ever since. So, I drove myself over to Off Broadway thinking...there is no way I'm going to find what I am looking...I have looked online...nothing cute. Then..there they were! ...and for your viewing pleasure...here they are!
Seriously, how cute are these?? AND they were on SUPER sale AND I had a coupon. I was pretty much meant to have these. Right, Dad??
Just for the whole picture...here's the outfit: Got this sweater and shirt for Christmas and just realized today how amazingly they went together :)
Navy and Purple...I mean how can you go wrong with purple! :)
Sweater - Gap Outlet
Purple Shirt - Old Navy
Jean - Gap
Shoes - Off Broadway
OK...emails are piling up...so back to work for me! More on Friday :)
