So...this isn't going to be a long post, but I hear that some people are checking this weekly (Anna) and although she might be the ONLY one, I thought I would post my lastest obsession. OK...so it's no secret that I am in love with all kinds of sunglasses. I have a a whole part of my dresser dedicated to my sunglasses. These are amazing. Love them so much. Now, these aren't cheap, but ladies...these look great on me...if i do say so myself :) Anyone looking for a last minute Christmas gift for their awesome friend/daughter/sister??? ;)

Hint of Lime

It's summer time and lime is in the air! I've been making shrimp tacos...with lime...cilantro rice...with lime...mojitos...with lime. So, why not add a little lime to my wardrobe too! Absolutely love this outfit and can't say how much I adore the shoes. The high heel with the skinny cuffed jeans is one of my favorite looks! I bought the shirt a long time ago, but found something similar for my post above. you could even do a bright orange shirt with this look too, to add a little different pop of color. The options are endless but the shoes are the key! I picked up this sweet pair at Off Broadway and they are honestly pretty comfortable :) I have never worn the wrap bracelet before, but was VERY excited to debut it today! Both the necklace and the bracelet are from Premier Designs ...the necklace is retired (but the name is Barcelona, so you might google it) but if you like the bracelet click here to get your very own!

Just love this summer casual look. Hope this inspires the fashionista in you!

So, you can be the judge...but as far as I'm concerned this color combination is on my "TO ROCK" list :) It's so bright for summer and the turquoise is a great POP against the red shirt. This is really a simple outfit. A V-Neck T that I picked up at Target and then a nude skirt is very light and perfect in all this humidity (oh, Kansas summers...how I love you) then just your basic nude wedge. The necklace is really what makes it interesting. I know that I'm too matchy matchy with the bracelets, but I just can't help it. Hi, my name is Erin and I'm a Matchaholic. There. I said it. :)

I have been out of town recently and super busy at work so my blogging has definitely taken a backseat to my crazy (by much loved) life. I'm trying to get back on track. I have been taking pictures...so many outfits and so little time. What's a girl to do!

I promise more posts this week. I hope this inspires the fashionista in you!!!

That's right! I'm in LOVE....with this shirt and this outfit. This was definitely pinterest inspired and I have been searching for a white tee with black writing...that didn't say something ridiculous...for while. It's harder to find than you think. This one has the word "Love" in all languages...I know...so cute! :) Found this little gem at J Crew Factory and it was in my hand and at the check out counter (among other super great finds) before I knew it! This store might be my new favorite place to shop. This is going to be dangerous.
Anyway...so once I had this gem in my hands I knew it wouldn't be long before it was featured. Whipped up this little outfit for my Monday (trying to cure my Monday blues)... and I dressed it up with a pair of heels. Also, the shirt is a little bit of a looser fit, which is actually just what I wanted so I could tuck it in the front and then leave it out in the back. You can't see it here (should have taken a side view) but that was how I styled it. I have done this on a couple of different occasions and I just think that this adds some extra style flair.
It's a little chilly in my office, so I threw on a light weight cotton blazer, but it could totally work with out that. In the winter, I think a cute leather moto jacket would be the PERFECT pairing!

OH...and it's hard to see, but I'm loving rocking bright red lipstick lately.

Hope this inspires you! :)

My "Go To" Cargo Combo - Army Green and Pink

My "Go To" Cargo Combo - Army Green and Pink

Glamorous pink top

Pink jewelry
$8.40 - newlook.com

Anaconda jewelry

Mossimo Supply Co analog watch

I've done this color combo before and I guarantee that you will probably see me do it again. I love this cargo vest that I picked up at, of all places, Gordmans! On the clearance rack! With an extra 33% off of that price. This was a FIND! I have worn the vest several times and really like it. It's lightweight, so wearing it to the office for summer works well for the COLD office temps and then I can always take it off at the end of the day when I'm running errands. Also, great over a sweater in the winter. It has a drawstring that cinches at the waist to help give you some shape so it doesn't look like you're wearing a big square.

Also, tried curling my hair...it looks decent here (although you can't see it super well in this pic)...but as it is in Kansas...Humidity was it's enemy and it looked terrible later :( I am waiting for a non humid day (good luck to me) so that I can try again. Otherwise, I might have to just come to terms with the fact that I can only curl my hair in the winter!

Again, just another PSA...I am posting these to pinterest so like or pin them (of course only if you actually LIKE them) and then I am working on seeing if I can post to instagram and if so...might create a new instagram account for just my blog and then I can even post little one off's that I find in stores that I just like...without having to do a WHOLE blog on a cute purse I saw at target on clearance for 11 dollars :) SO...just things to come!

Hope you had a great holiday weekend!

Presenting ... Polka Dots

Presenting ... Polka Dots

Old Navy boat neck tee

The reason this blog is titled "Presenting...Polka Dots" is because I do feel like this outfit was a true coming out party for this jacket. I have had this for probably 2 years and this is the FIRST time I have worn it. I think I saw it, liked it, and knew it deserved a place in my closet...but then it just never looked quite right to me when I would put it on. FINALLY...I realized, I think this thing needs to be tailored and I took it right down to my fav tailor and Voila! Here she is in all her glory :) She is very happy to meet you! Basically, I love this little jacket...Now, I say jacket, it's like a lightweight silk type material, so its great for summer at the office. I think the unique color combo is what originally made me want to pick it up. The peach and navy makes it a little unique and it helps that I am, for some unknown reason, obsessed with navy right now. Anyway, paired with with some jewelry pieces that I love to bring this all home. The navy bubble necklace was really a smart purchase and I have gotten some great use out of it.  You'll see some of this in future posts :) The neutrals of the gold watch and bracelet and earrings and nude flats round out the look. Since there is so much going on with the jacket and the necklace, no need to get crazy with the shoes and other jewelry.

Here's to hoping this Memorial Day weekend has better weather and I can follow through on my original plan of having my bathing suits be my wardrobe this weekend :)

Also to ALL my fellow pinterest lovers! I have been adding my the sets I create in polyvore on Pinterest, so if you ACTUALLY like the outfit if you could also "like" or "pin" on pinterest I would LOVE it :)
